David: In my world version, it started off smaller than I was looking at kind of a small area for that I was working with and which was going to expand. It really made sense to focus on region because basically you had like a big elf kingdom that was self contained and not widely spread. And then after that, there's a human kingdom. And this is all in one landmass where all these people know about each other and are kind of talking to one another a little bit. But then I needed to introduce a new set of humans that came from a distant place, kind of like an island mass that was far off to the east. So naturally, they spoke their own language
