How to Treat Acute Otitis Externa
Acute otitis externa is an inflammatory condition of the external ear canal. The infection is primarily bacterial and most commonly caused by bugs like pseudomonas, arginosa, and staphylococcus aureus. Topical preparations include acetic acid 2% 4-6 times daily or neomycin poly mixin B hydrochordis in combination. There are not significant clinical outcome differences between these preparations.
