Trump's Vote for a Tax Credit for Health Insurance
The idea is that Republicans need some way to encourage sick people or to encourage healthy people to buy health insurance. If you have a 63-day break in coverage, insurers can charge you 130% of the standard premium for an entire year before you can get back to the normal rate. Trump said that yes to tax credits, it seems like he's kind of choosing a side on the debate. The third part of the five-point plan I thought was notable was a little plank on Medicaid, which felt like a nod to block grants.
