The Importance of Foundations in Programming

I was like thinking about it in terms of like a language needing to win, right? So then if you apply that to Erlang,. why does Erlang bother? Why does Russ bother? It's not going to win, but the Finns like their language. They enjoy it very much. If you're excited about a program in language or you even want to make your own, darn it, good for you for being excited about that, even though it's not gonna win. And that's okay, because everybody wins, right? Yes. 100% and that's what I really love about teaching is because especially like these foundational level courses.
