He was cold shouldered by a lot of the slavopiles who he saw as his natural allies. He did feel isolated and lonely at times, particularly towards the end of his life. After that, i think he, he was reconciled to life. But after his experience er, before atos, he was more or less chronically ill for the rest of his life with various ailments. I i'm going to assume he sort of saw those as a test or something too, in a struggle with i guess he did.
