We Change Our Communities Not by Processing Our Difficulties on Facebook or on Instagram

We change our communities not by hiding away and preparing ourselves to emerge in this religious perfection, but by changing in with and in front of our communities. This really is the end, you know, antithesis to pride. When we allow ourselves to be changed beside our fellow believers, our community itself is changed because people start to feel safe to share their own struggles. And deeper conversations about faith and life become welcomed or even normal.
