How to Be a Good Upstanding Member of a Coalition
The more you identify with a political identity group, the stronger is the pull of that group's norms on your behavior. Those norms come from often kinship and seems the relationship between groups. And so there are indications that those kinds of things are malleable but there's also a structure to them that holds them together. So the kind of policies we use to justify other policies also imply that at an abstract level our social world varies in how people rely on those Norms.
