The Brams Requiem by Brahms
The origins of the music in the brams requiem actually date back all to 18 54. Brahms was struggling with music that he originally intended as a tupiano sonata, which was then transformed into symphony and then finally into his d minor piano concerto. One of the movements of this sonata that was rejected ended serving as the basis for the second movement of the requiem.
