The Benefits of Consensus in Decentralized Systems
The whole premise of the system is actually to be resistant to manipulation. This is not how many centralized systems are built. Consensus has better security properties because of having one entity to compromise, you have tens or hundreds or thousands of entities. So it's essentially the decentralization property.
