Bass Reaves Memorial Bridge
Reeves was the first African American inducted into the Great Westerners Hall of the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in 1992. He died at home January 12, 1910, after being diagnosed with Bright's disease. Oklahoma State Legislature passed an act officially declaring the bridge that passes over the Arkansas River between Muskogee and Fort Gibson as Bass Reaves Memorial Bridge.
