Hayek, Keynes, and the Leftist Interventionists
The ideological cleavage or the debate is that it's either absolutely free markets, laissez-faire, government-stay-out. And within this, Keynes got, we all know Keynes advocates government's affecting markets. He doesn't want to eliminate them, right? He's not a complete state planner, but he got put on the kind of left side, the intervention side. So he kind of stands in for a little too much government interference, this leftist interventionist view. But Hayek actually did advocate a certain level of government intervention. There's no anarchist impulse there to annihilate the state.
