Is there really enough poverty in America that we need to make such sweeping laws? I'm reading a wonderful book right now that takes place in late 1930s New York. And it's so fascinating for me to take a step back and this has nothing to do with the book because it's about technological progress or anything else. It does not mean that their lives are easy or pleasant.
