The War in Russia and Ukraine's Health Issues

Vladimir Putin is often heard about warning about the dangers of extending LGBT rights but then it emerges that he's a great fan of Sir Elton. The Russian health minister contacts Elton to wish him a happy birthday. Do you find it bizarre that a president that's against LGBT rights should wish to celebrate an icon of gay rights in the way that he seems to celebrate Sir Elton? Believe me the irony is not lost in me at all, I mean interestingly Putin if you ask him he's actually said I'm not against gay people I'm about protecting children and that's the argument that a lot of people use for putting these homophobic policies in place.
