The Effects of the Silver Purchase Act on the Price of Silver

The price of silver has been artificially influenced for a long time. In 1934, the government passed an act called the Silver Purchase Act which set an artificially high price at that time when production and usage was much less. The Hunt Brothers caused a great amount of silver to be converted into bullion form,. So they again increased supply in a very big way by their action.
