The Widespread Nature of Sexual Abuse in Ireland
Tusla and the Garde are separately investigating this. One worker described as just being at the tip of an iceberg, that they believed the problem was more widespread. The Irish Times published a story following several months of investigation into one alleged abuse ring last December. But it went much wider, not just one alleged ring of men targeting girls, but several different groups and many, many different young girls kind of targeted in this way.
