Introduction

Two weeks ago I was in the garage right where I am now and I could not stop thinking about my dad. He began having trouble with his memory several years ago. Two weeks ago on a Thursday I found myself talking to him. Part way through I realized I was talking out loud, almost like a trance or a fugue state.
