The Wright Brothers' First Flight
As long as humans have observed creatures in flight, we have dreamed of taking to the skies ourselves. The first known kites were flown in China hundreds of years BC. Leonardo da Vinci was fascinated by birds and obsessed over finding a way to fly,. Years later, the box kite proved that controlled flight was possible. But it's not until two French brothers stage a public display of their new hot air balloon invention, that the idea takes off.
