The Fed's Choice Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea
The Fed is going to have to make a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea. If they lose control of the bond market, they will get an asset price bust. The belief and what they're capable of doing has caused us to believe that money printing can solve everything. Whereas it can't. It's impossible to speculate how bad things could get if they weren't able to do this.
