Convergence Therapy: Converging Gay People and Straight People
When did homosexuality stop being a psychiatric disorder? I think that year was 1948. The psychiatrist got there first and then the psychologist followed by taking it out of the lexicon of mental disorders. And that liberated a lot of people. That was a major, major turning point for many, many people. Even though to this day, you have many fundamentalistic religions espousing the so-called therapeutic programs that change homosexuals into straight people. They keep on peddling their wearer, they keep on getting millions of dollars from families who are so concerned where they're gay and lesbian children.
