The History of Sex Education

The Chamberlain con act was America's first federal law regarding sex education. It was passed to provide funding to teach soldiers about syphilis and gonorrhea. This had the positive impact of sparing large numbers of Americans to view sex as a public health issue. But it also inspired school districts around the nation to copy the military and hosting sex ed programs in secondary schools.
