What Is the Original Jinx?

We were just curious about how that started, like why people say jinx when they talk at the same time with the same word. And basically another person has to say their names three times before they can talk again. It actually comes from the name of a bird called the Rhineck WRY NECK which was used in a variety of mystical kind of witchy charms and I don't know what to call it just spells. The word itself referring to bird goes back to ancient Greek.
