Apocalypse

The zombi is in western culture a 20 first century crisis. Apocalypse didn't apocalypsewhat meantwell, think about how it's actually translated in the bible, revelation. The apocalypse was the frame breaking of the old world and then the revelation of the new world. But at the same time, you sort of get this sense, either implicitly or explicitly, that people expect some kind of utopia to follow the apocalypse. And i haven't quite leaked into popular depictions but we certainly see a lot of it in political discussion.
