The Scholars of Hadis Differed Regarding How Old Someone Needs to Be to Narrate Hadith

The reports were that he actually met some of the companions themselves. He didn't narrate hadis from them for this reason, because the people of kufa said yo have to be 20 years old in order for you to hear something when you are 20 years old  in order to a narrate it to the next generation.
