Osteopathy - What Do You Wish You Knew?
If I had known some of the extremism within my profession, that would have been helpful for me to inform my decision about my own career. The traditional model of practice again at least within osteopathy is people require a series of treatments and there's a necessitation for them to return. Once you do adopt a much more collaborative relational way of practicing which doesn't center on the need for care or the need for a particular type of care then clearly that calculation is different than patients. You're actively promoting patients not to be reliant on you and that they're resilient to robust and can autonomously make decisions about their own care and bodies.
