I think the best people are other comics. I run past a few comics who still watch comedy because also if you run it past a comic who doesn't watch comedy anymore, they won't necessarily know. They either like watch a lot of comedy to make sure they're not stepping on any toes, or at least like the big ones that come out. Or they don't watch any because they don't want to absorb anything. And I feel like you kind of have to be in the middle because if you're not aware of what people are doing,. Whitney did a guest spot on one of my shows in DC last year and she's like, I just need to change the wording right here
