The Death of Logan on Succession
I think for me, the thing that felt so much like a departure is that we don't see the death happening. The viewers like the Roy children don't get to have a last conversation with Logan or see the death happen. It's all off screen. And because of that, I think it caught so many viewers off guard. Because you don't see Logan die, you really are put in the position that they are in and experience that death as they do.
