The Reflex: A Remix of Daryl Hall's Adult Education

Duran Duran hired Nile Rogers to remix The Reflex for their 1984 album Seven and the Ragged Tiger. Nyle was producing a remix of Daryl Hall and John Oates's early 1984 single Adult Education at the same time. He added hand-clapping rhythms and tribal chants to make it more infectious. It became Durand Durand's first ever U.S. No. 1 hit, reaching the top of the Hot 100 in June 1984. Then almost immediately, the band gave Rogers another assignment, producing a brand new track which would be a bonus studio cut on their forthcoming live album, Arena. They called it the Wild Boys.
