What Happens When You Confront Appraisers With This Data?
The most uppraisers use what we call a price comparison model, where they compare homes to others in a neighborhood to establish value. If if you have a home in a black neighborhood, it's more likely that they'll pick a house in a worse neighborhood with worse conditions to compare the price. And when you use those kinds of comparables, you get a lower price. We were actually on aa testifying in congress in 20 18.
