i have a totally different view of birds then when i went into the everglades from when i came out. So this clear decimation disregard for the bird species in florida had caused an uproar and demand for conservation efforts to be put into place. The autobon society was specifically created to try to establish rules and protections around birds. Within a year, 39 thousand people had joined the society. In 19 hundred, frank chapman, who i mentioned earlier, he was the one who strolled the streets in manhattan. He actually created a volunteer christmas bird count where, over a three week period, volunteers would count and observe the amount of birds in the area. And
