The Importance of Transparency in Small Groups
The Methodists invented small groups in the course of Christian history, as far as I know. The ground rule was that each person in order would state as freely, concisely, as possible the real state of his heart with his several temptations and deliverances since the last time of meeting. So it's a weekly checkup. Here is my mess. Here is his grace. For crying out loud, who wouldn't flourish in that kind of gentle transparency? We've got to do that again.
