How to Do Mastery Based Grading?
In order to do mastery based grading, you have to actually have self-paced learning in place. If every kid has to go to lesson two tomorrow no matter what, then of course it's impossible to hold students to mastery because either diversity of learning levels or some kids aren't even there on that day. So ultimately and this is which the research supports, you haveto create a learning environment that certainly adjusts pace.
