The Real Meaning of Jesus' Life
We often read Jesus' life as this political figure, but by focusing on that, we are overlooking the real meaning. For Jesus, there does seem to be... There's this really interesting scene I do talk about in the book where Jesus calls himself the son of God. This is regarded as a very incendiary remark, and he's almost put to death spontaneously. He says, well, look, it's written in your own scriptures that God says, I have called you gods. In Matthew, that becomes the Kingdom of Heaven. And what is God like? Well, God senses brain on the righteous and unrighteous. The sun also rises on the wicked.
