The average price of a new car, electric or not, was reported by consumer reports to be forty six thousand dollarsyes. A local dealer, for instance, wants 12 thousand dollars over suggested retail price for the electric hunday on his lot. Even without that mark up, all new cars are just far out of most people's comfort zone at this point.
