I really think that we should do an eBike subsidy of some sort here in the US. But it's silly to give $7,500 subsidy for electric vehicles when eBikes could probably reduce VMT and reduce energy use even more. Edward Niedermeyer wonders why we chase after 300 miles per electric vehicle charge as a standard. The average American only drives 40 miles per day and 95% of trips are 30 miles or shorter.
