Day 73: Christ’s Life Is Mystery

The Catechism in a Year (with Fr. Mike Schmitz)

The Mysteries of Christ's Life

Kedekisis: All that Jesus did and taught, from the beginning until the day when he was taken up to heaven, is to be seen in the light of the mysteries of Christmas and Easter. Christ's whole earthly life, his words and deeds, his silences and sufferings are revelation of the Father. Because our Lord became man in order to do his Father's will, even the least characteristics of his mysteries manifest God's love among us. Redemption comes to us above all through the blood of his cross, but this mystery is at work throughout Christ's entire life.
