Is There a Connection Between Suffering and Death?
Suffering and death are viewed as wholly bad. We shouldn't see them a theyre not things. They're definitely not things that should be willingly undertaken. So we have this primary association of suffering and obty death. If if our physical suffering, as in the case of to is overwhelming, that's what we do. We dissociate from the body. And of course, that makes us primed for entertainment. I think we need a level of entertainment sufficiently real thati can distract us, but it still has to have the fantcy element to serve as an escape mechanism.
