Parfett's Reasons and Persons
I consider it one of the great missed opportunities for me because I just love his work. Although, like many who love his work, I can't say that I have read all of his last book, which is 1500 pages long. But there's something really otherworldly about the book. It strikes one as written from a point of view of someone coming from outer space and just manufacturing thought experiments by which to understand human morality. He basically invents this whole subgenre of more philosophy. Until then, there was nothing that we now call population ethics.
