Film Festivals - How to Get Picked Up by a Studio
A lot of successful horror films are made by the studios, so what they have to their advantage is P&A. Blair Witch and Paranormal Activity for example were independent films that were made outside of the studio system. How do you get picked up by a studio? One of the routes to getting that kind of attention is through the film festival circuit. You probably need to premiere your film at Toronto, Midnight Madness, maybe Sundance, maybe Tribeca, maybe Sepas Seswas,. but ultimately it's Toronto and Sundance.
