The Pathology of Blaming
One example of a pathological case that strikes me as relevant to this discussion is victim blaming and the related phenomenon of gaslighting where somebody in the face of being blamed for a particular wrongdoing directs the conversation in such a way. So how do we ensure that our blaming practices don't turn into the gaslighting, the victim blaming, the problematic cases of blame? Yes I mean that's a perfect example of the ways in which communicative blame can function to bad moral ends and it just depends on what the values are that are being peddled and what thevalues are that win the day. There's no silver bullet or any method that can be prescribed to how we avoid having oppressive or otherwise bad moral
