Elder ukdorf was the one who gave us that phrase, lift where you stand. He also gave a talk based on this passage about doing a great work so that we cannot come down to lesser endeavours. I am far too busy building the kingdom to come down and be distracted in the plains of ono. When we're at higher levels, we tend not to descend. And that's what's happening here. The jew the jew's adversaries try to coerce nehemiah into stopping the work. This time they do it by threatening to raise false accusations against him.
