In evolutionary psychology, something that's talked about so much is just the hard-grained nature of jealousy and the behavioral suite of mate guarding behaviors. Do we see like interference patterns where the social father is trying to ensure that he is also the biological father as much as he can? Yes. So I think there is really the duality of both the broad social acceptance and then at the micro level, there's still all sorts of dynamics going on.
