"We're totally open to good faith, calm, radly criticism of us as well," he says. "Most people are not intensely political animals, like you or I." The party's structure is superior to that, in his opinion, because it allows people to plug in at whatever level they want and don't need constant engagement with participatory democracy. We do ourselves a huge favor by remembering that and not projecting intensity onto others.
