Psychedelics and the Theological Formation

I just wrote my thesis about embodiment, specifically what's happening in our bodies during religious experiences. And I'm really interested in that like kind of constructive theological conclusions that you can make out of what we're learning from science. One of the things I learned from one piece of research was about the insula cortex in our brains. The insula cortex is this processing center in our brains about what’s happening in our external experiences. So for example, if the part of our brain that processes our bodily experiences is also the most activated parts of our brain during religious experiences, there must be then some sort of embodied component to religious experience.
