How Much Is the Tracking Error for ETF Management Fees?
ETF.com is a good resource for anything related to ETFs as anything else just because it's so thorough but yeah that information is out there and public that make up of the baskets is out there as well. The lower the tracking error the better your returns will be in terms of the benchmark. For things that aren't supremely straightforward somewhere in the realm of an S&P 500 or S&P sector the tracking error metric should be reasonably easy to find now.
