Definitely some growing pains. Some of the audience probably know, you know, we had some V-sishes, so we just actually got back after being in the States for a couple of weeks dealing with that. So yeah, it's definitely not easy. I think that's why a lot of people don't just

get up and back and go to Paris. Sure, it's not easy, but it's fun, it's fulfilling, and it's definitely an adventure, a challenge, and we feel like we're up for it. So, you know, we took the Fritz Playbook and we're trying to roll it out for 2023 in the first half of 2024. Yeah, well, you
Speaker 2
know, I've been telling a lot of people, the reason why I was excited is because I've never actually, other than my wife, I've never lived in the same town as somebody un-bactable. And so it's exciting because we can do stuff like this, in person, in my house, and today we're gonna cover another basic topic. Like you and I usually typically like to cover. It's funny, I was texting with one of our former attendings of Vanderbilt, Jim McElmoury the other day, and he said that he listened to the nephrostomy episode.
Speaker 1
Hey, have any strong thoughts about it? Well, he was just, he was like, hey man, I know I give you guys our time. I didn't think I was that bad.
Speaker 2
And I'll have to go back and listen to that one because I remember, you know, we probably said something about him getting on us about, you know, a technique or something like that, but that's how he learned, you know, and I'm glad they got on us. Today we're gonna talk about Medi-Port removal. We've talked about Medi-Port placement previously. Do you remember what episode that was? No idea. Yeah, we'll put in the show notes. But today, we actually recently had Michelle Kumur on from UCSF, we were talking about anesthesia, and what kinds of cases require what type, which levels of anesthesia. And it had me thinking about Medi-Ports because I know people in my practice, some of them will just do it with local and for Medi-Port retrieval. And I just, I don't know, I think that's odd, don't you?
Speaker 1
I mean, I think if the patient wanted it, my standard practice is moderate sedation. Yeah.
