Rousseau believed that the whole cursed superstructure must be raised to the ground. The entire wicked human society must be burnt to ashes, and then a new phoenix would arise by him and his disciples. But in principle, what they wished duke was the same, although perhaps their view of the methods may have differed. Action is the soul of the world. Not pleasure, not abandonment to feeling,. not abandonment to reasoning, only action.
