A lot of people are just pricing things in dollars or euros. We've got to look at this from the standpoint of a US citizen, because their expenses are denominated in dollars. But we can't assume that that's the same for someone in Japan,. If you stored your savings in dollars, and you were a Japanese, you'd be making out like a bandit.
