OCaml Labs - What Do You Like About Language Design?
OCaml's type system is hard to dive into. I would not recommend doing it without some assistance. One of the main things I like about language design is that it sits at an interesting intersection between pure mathematics and a more aesthetic kind of design style. A lot of it is about trying to find things that fit within the mathematical constraints, but are also a design that people like aesthetically and enjoy using.
