Themes Between Aliens and Fairies

i'm curious why this theme always comes up? Obviously, if they share the planet with us, they don't want us to destroy it. But why isn't it a stronger theme in u f o lore to warn us about crisper technology and cloning or genetic tinkering as muchthey warn us about pollution and neks? That warning never comes up.
