Tisifernes Found Clearcus's Weakness
Tisifernes had found Clearcus's weakness. He used it to bait him and to trick this otherwise brilliant and cautious and savvy commander. And he was tricking him with the prospect of the greatest thing that Clearcus could ever hope for, which would have been a victory against the Persian king. So I think you can see there that Tisiferne has R.E.A.S. in his camp for a long time.
